Conservation

I've worked with Dr. Mario Espinoza and CIMAR to develop technology for studying marine animals in Santa Elena Bay, Costa Rica since 2022.

In 2025 we founded Conservation Technology Group to disseminate our work.

Teaching

I co-taught and designed an introductory AI Robotics course for undergraduates at Stanford. Students built robot dogs, learned PD control and kinematics, and eventually trained their own RL locomotion controllers.

In 2023 I worked with Professor Karen Liu to make the class an official course on the AI track at Stanford, and it is now one of the most popular CS classes at Stanford, with hundreds of applications for only 20-30 students.
